Q: What have you guys done in response to the COVID-19 outbreak?
A: As many of our members know, we kept our gyms open and available to our members until we could no longer legally do so. Since being forced to close, we have donated extra hand sanitizer, soap, and other personal protective equipment we had stored in our clubs. While we have always maintained the highest level of cleanliness, we are taking extra measures while the clubs are closed to make sure they are sanitized and ready for your return.
Q: Are your clubs open?
A: Unfortunately, gyms are not exempt from the government-mandated “Stay at Home” order, so our clubs are temporarily closed. We are working as hard as we can to be able to open our doors as soon as legally possible.
Q: How will I be notified when our clubs will be re-opening?
A: Please check our website and social media for the most up to date information regarding the club’s status.
Q: Avolve Fitness is a small business; how are you able to withstand the economic pressure due to the virus?
A: At the current time, like most of our members and staff, our future is unclear, but we are currently optimistic about re-opening to get back to serving our community and members. We are working with our landlords, equipment loan providers, and other utility providers to defer payments. We had to lay off most of our team, which is the lifeblood of our gyms. We are relying on you, our members, to continue to support us at this time so that we can, in-turn support you, once we can re-open.
Q: What can I do to help keep Avolve Fitness in business and support the staff?
A: If you would like to continue to pay your monthly dues through this time of uncertainty, it is much appreciated. While there is no guarantee that we will remain open, your monthly membership dues will give us a fighting chance to keep our business afloat and allow us to keep as many employees on staff as possible.
Q: What is going to happen to the personal training sessions I had already purchased?
A: We will extend the expiration date on any unused personal training sessions that were purchased in March.
Q: Will I be billed for membership dues?
A: We are asking for our members to continue to support us by allowing us to continue billing on all members’ accounts until we re-open. We completely understand if your financial position has been negatively impacted. If you need to put your membership on hold, we are waiving any fees associated with freezing your memberships. To freeze your membership, please email us at email@example.com. If you were unable to freeze your membership prior to getting billed; we will refund 100% of your membership dues.
Q: Can I cancel my membership?
A: Yes. If you would like to cancel, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. As an alternative to cancellation, we are allowing memberships to be frozen, which means billing will not occur until we re-open.
Q: If I cancel my membership and decide to rejoin when the clubs re-open, will I have to pay an enrollment fee?
A: Yes, all new memberships are subject to current enrollment fees. We are urging our members to take advantage of the free freeze, as opposed to canceling.
